Career Expo 2023

The Expo will take place on a Saturday December 9th from 10am-2pm. South Fort Myers High School’s career academies and their community partners along with Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce members will set up interactive displays to promote their programs, businesses and services, and potential future careers. In addition to unique hands-on experiences (ie. handling construction equipment, building a brick/block structure, feeding animals, learning to take blood pressure), food trucks will be invited to attend making this a fun event for all. The overall objective is to bring career awareness and planning to the forefront of Lee County students entering or in high school in a fun and interactive way. Current 8th grade students (future freshmen) will have a jump start on career exploration to help them determine if South Fort Myers High School’s available career academies are best suited for their interests and to prepare them for their future. Additionally, high school students entering the workforce will be able to participate in the Career Expo to see and meet with local businesses for potential career opportunities. And finally, local community partners and businesses with their owners/hiring managers will have the opportunity to recruit their future workforce.
