Most students at South Fort Myers High School take advantage of the numerous career academies available to them. These academies enable our graduates to enter the job market with marketable skills and competencies that are required by today’s industries and businesses.

AP Capstone is an innovative diploma program that provides students with an opportunity to engage in rigorous scholarly practice of the core academic skills necessary for successful college completion.
AVID: Advancement Via Individual Determination is a class in which students prepare for four year college eligibility. AVID students are enrolled in Advanced Placement courses and attend an academic elective class called AVID.
The sports program at SFMHS includes teams in 12 different sports. Membership on teams is open to all students, grades 9-12, who maintain a GPA of 2.0 or above at the conclusion of each semester to be eligible during the following semester.
